On the home screen, press A (left button).
Select Connection.
Choose Download.
Wait until you see the connection waiting animation (as shown in the example image).

Click Refresh
Click Refresh once to update the latest Port list.
Select the COM Port
Open the COM Port dropdown and choose your cable’s port.
Usually, the correct port is the last item in the list (the newest/active connection).
If you change the USB port, the COM number may change
For example: COM6 → COM7 (this is normal).
Just follow the same rule: select the last/newest port again.
Check the status on the right
The status area will show whether the connection is Connected/Ready, confirming you selected the correct port.
Click Test Echo: Hit the button!
🎉 If Success You will see a pop-up message saying "Echo Text Successful" or "Connected".

This mode is for advanced/pro users who already know the workflow.
When enabled, the popup “OK” confirmation after each transfer will not appear.
You can send the next item immediately once your Tamagotchi has finished receiving the previous one.

This button shows/hides the Log panel at the bottom (transfer status + activity messages).
Keep it ON if you want to see connection details or troubleshoot issues.
Turn it OFF if you want a cleaner screen and more space to view items.
If TamaHome won’t connect after clicking Refresh (Windows)

Press Windows Key + X → select Device Manager.
Expand Ports (COM & LPT) and check your device status.
✅ If you see “USB-SERIAL CH340 (COMx)”, Windows detects the device correctly.
→ Note the COM number (e.g., COM6) and select the same port in TamaHome.
⚠️ If you see an exclamation mark (!) or “Unknown Device”
Not ready: Windows does not have the correct driver for this device yet.
Fix: Download and install the driver using the button below, then check Device Manager again.
System Requirement (.NET)
Most computers are ready to go! Just try opening the app first.
✅ If the app opens: You don't need to download anything here.
⚠️ If you see a popup "You must install or update .NET": Please click "Download it now" in that window to install automatically.
